gee.....maybe what we got it ain't so bad after all
perhaps now us Americans will back off a little on the frequent complaints about how Roar or other major U.S. race organizers run races and/or make decisions. Perspective. Life is all about keeping a little perspective.........and then making the best of whatever situation one finds one's self in the middle of. I feel bad for the drivers and teams at the sedan worlds who have invested so much of themselves for the event, only to have "the situation" dominate the proceedings rather than the talent of the participants or the on-track competition.

the ROAR asphalt nats were at my local track last year and those 4 members of the RMT pretty much ran a flawless event as far as tech and running the races . . .i hope the roar asphalt nats go well again this year!!!

Too be honest, too me it looks like the fastest guys are all in the A-main, with the exception of 1 or 2 drivers. In the end the weather had a big impact on Q6 but minimal impact on the event.
I also don't see the problem with being able to save some tires. It is that way in many race classes in order to keep cost under control. As long as the same rules apply to everyone, I don't see the problem.

Did you ever think that new tires for every round would be too expensive for the teams? How could they possibly afford six sets of tires for the worlds? Sarcastic rhetorical questions here folks!
The tire rules at this race are the worst I have ever seen! Run whatever homemade (super secret) tires with any sauce you want for 1/12th scale and then two sets of tires with no sauce outside. Screw the weather this race was doomed before it even started! I am so disappointed that drivers had to decide not to run some of the quals just to save them for later rounds.
New Tires Every Round...Then we will see who is the best in the world!

The whole controlling costs by limiting tires argument is a bit ridiculous when most people spend several thousand dollars to attend anyway. An extra set of tires or two would be a drop in the bucket.
Having consistent traction would probably make it a lot more enjoyable and feel a lot less like a colossal waste of money...
