Acer Bearings
Ok,
I realize this has probably been posted elsewhere in this forum, but I have decided to purchase some acer bearings but can anyone explain this to me.
I ripped this off directly from the acer racing ball bearings page.
"This, in addition to a 50% higher modulus of elasticity than conventional bearings, and Grade 5 smoothness of the balls (contrary to popular belief the lower the Grade number a ball is, the rounder and smoother it is), produce a lower coefficient of friction at the ball-raceway interface,... "
What is this "grade 5 smoothness", and is it the same as the AEBC grading?
I recall there are 2 scales of grading, can anyone put into layman terms how all this stuff works??
Thanks.
