HPI E10 clicking sound...
Hey guys,
I have a HPI E10 Drift and i changed it to a touring by putting the transmission back and installing a new set of wheels, and since then a clicking sound is coming from the back, i con't find where it is coming from.The sound is coming only when the car is on the ground,when there is no weight(when it is lifted) its not coming. So i am seeking for some help from you guys, couz i am getting ready for my first rc event... so help me find the problem.. and here is a video of it.. Help me :) |

Could be one of the drive shafts, or the rear of the chassis hitting the ground when under acceleration
Or just vibration and loose fitting stuff cause it's not a high end chassis |

when i install drift tires, the sound isn't coming.. only on touring wheels.. :/

The e10 has a plastic pinion gear that runs on the metal ring gear of the diff I have found this gear with strip just enough to cause that problem.

its the diff that has been making the sound, but i can't find what is making the sound inside the diff.. :/ the gears look fine as well.

If the clicking stops with different rims, then it's likely that the sedan rims have some ribbing inside that is touching a camber link or some other part of the suspension causing the sound. Drift rimes often have a +2 or more offset that moves the rim further from the chassis to widen the stance and eliminates the rubbing.

The problem is the part number hpi 88000. The plastic gear has stripped :/ and i can't find a upgrade for that :/ some help
