Hey all: Why no Tekin ESC on the USVTA approved list? Thanks

if being honest the VTA team work very hard to keep the SC on a level playing field and by having any SC in blinky there are still advantages and built in timing excluding the ones on the approved list.
If you are just trying to stir the pot please visit http://www.rctech.net/forum/electric...svta-woes.html
This event is "USVTA Nats" and not ROAR VTA if that is the confusion.

due to how much tuning and how easy it is to change parameters. in vta they are looking for a speedo that locks everything in. with the tekin even in blinky you can still change a lot. not very budget racing either.
now if its the only speedo you have and you want to attend the event shoot me a pm and i have a vta speedo im sure we can work something out.

The guys who maintain the USVTA Rules (i.e. RobK and Batman ) have put a lot of work into testing each and every ESC to make sure that they are all equally matched in performance and that none of them have any kind of programmable advance timing. I have read stories that some ESCs were removed from the USVTA list because it's too easy to swap the circuit boards out to make a boosted ESC look like it's a non-timed ESC.
The following list of ESCs are the ONLY ones approved for USVTA. **Note** ROAR allows many more "blinky mode" ESCs for VTA at the ROAR Nats. USVTA's list is much shorter than ROAR's list.
- Novak Club Brushless ESC (#1852)
- Novak Edge 2S Brushless ESC (#1850, 1851)
- Novak Mongoose Micro Brushless/Brush ESC (#1718)
- Novak GTB2 Racing w/X-Drive (#1749)
- Novak GTB2 Racing w/X-Drive- Low Profile (#1748)
- Novak GTB 2 Sportsman Racing Brushless ESC (#1708, 1709)
- Novak GTB series part numbers: 1710, 1711
- Novak Havoc series part numbers: 1732, 1733, 1735
- Novak Slyder (DISCONTINUED) part number: 1712
- Novak XBR (DISCONTINUED) part number:1720
- LRP A.i. Brushless Reverse part numbers: LRP80100, LRP80150
- Speed Passion Cirtix Stock Club Race ESC part number: 12280
- Speed Passion Reventon Stock Club Race part number: SP000048

Tekin hasnt submitted an esc we can use in USVTA...when and if they do, the USVTA will be all over it.
You(the racers) will need to contact your favorite esc company and let them know that the USVTA is the fastest growing on-road class in America, and they need to get onboard with an esc that fits the specs.
FYI....2 other mgr are trying to get esc's for the USVTA class...and they are on 2nd and 3rd try...hint hint...they want to be part of the USVTA...
Robk...check your mail Thursday...hope its as good to you as it was for me...lol
