I made a slipup when buiding my BD, i finished the car and it seemed really high. i had to lay all of the shocks down as far as possible and move the hub pivot positions to thier lowes to get 5mm ride height. I was confused.. I then realised i had compressed the shocks before putting the spring and retainer on and the small black O-ring was below the spring retainer not on top :P
I didnt think the RAYSPEED retainers fitted very well
Oh yeah.. Has anybody used the small plastic spring retainer at the top of the shock? my springs seem to move around a fair bit at the top....

Maybe you should take it easy on those delrin diffs.... Sheesh.
I have gotten about twenty through it so far and no such wear.
Well maybe because I only ran stock so far, and we're you using the larger bones? I am using the Rayspeed rear bones and there is no real issue with slop. Things seem to work just right.
I am going to focus on the next JBRL race and the KO Gran Prix for now. I think I have a real good base for 4Fun but I have never ran @ Tamyia so if you get a good 19T base setup for there please share.
Thanks in advance,

Pulled all the rear suspension to bits and i still cannot find any reason for the 1mm more pre load on one side to the other. I will run it how it is and then go from there. Thanks

also check the upperdeck...
remove the front/rear bumper
and loosen the upperdeck... hold down flat on setting board and tighten in a criss-cross pattern...

just want to check some info, on the hpi delrin diff halves, use the delrin, hpi diff rings, and assoc bolt and nut, which thrust bearing. and i understand that the hpi slots are slightly bigger the the yok slots in the outdrives, so then maybe the assoc bones will fit these slots. i know there really close to the yok ones

I just tried the TC4 bones in the rear w/ the RS Sd axles... they will not fit... the AE bones are 2mm too long. 50mm long... you'll need to find some 48mm mip bones to work or the original RS mips conversion set.

Yea Guys Boca now has the ceramics in kit form here is the part number #85-095C-YZ
So glad I sent back those ACER's now.
That part number is for the metal sheilded not the rubber of metal with rubber. I spoke to a rep who asked all the right questions and that part number is for the most free spinning bearings for the BD. You get 22 bearings.
Glad to be a service.
