noticed some of you are experimenting with shimming on the diffs and the center layshaft. I did some experimenting as well when i built my ride but ended up with the recomended two shims on the rear diff and none on the center layshaft. fortunately for me, the cnter shaft in mine has very minimal play, just enough to ensure a really free spin but not too much to be of concern. as for the diffs, i thought they could do better with less shims but seemed i had the right amount of play with both of them in. i guess it changes from car to car. i will re-check though after running a few packs. is it saturday yet?!! can't wait for the weekend! HAHA!

Hey Ramon, it's been a while since I ran the SD, but these look like they are interchangeable, just beefed up a lot from the SD. The Rayspeed springs do work on the car, I bought full sets of all the different spring rates just to be sure I'm ready for everything

Yep, the suspension is the same as the SD. The BD does come with the heavy duty arms but the standard SD arms will work on it.

Also the steering arms, C hubs and rear carriers are also interchangable. So if you want grafite they already have them out.....Heck I just put in my Rayspeed Ti Rear CVD's in yesterday. Perfect fit. I will be gettign these items as soon as they are available.

Now that was what I was thinking.
I wonder if the Ceramics are worth it....The BD is already super free.
Hey Randy have you had a chance to put some track time on the BD yet?
Mine handled like a dream this saturday and was silent once I put 64pitch in.
What Spur are you using?

I am using 105 since I was told that was the largest but I wonder if I can go up much more....I think I will go look again and see if there is room.
Also are you racing in the JBRL on the 17th @ SoCal?

i have a 112 spur on and it fits in easily could put a slightly larger spur on put may not need it

Hoe much would you estimate the Ceramic breaing set to cost?

Do the normal yokomo springs work with the Rapyspeed spring retainers? I bought a full set of Rayspeed springs but would like the option of using the yokomo ones.

Will the standard SD suspension mounts fit on the rear for toe-in?

I am going to go to SoCal today and tomorrow for Off-Road practice, but I'm going to take the BD and should be able to get it all finished while I'm up there, not much left to do.

Ceramics are nice because they last a really long time, if I end up liking this car, I'll put a set in.

I'm running a 104 tooth PRS gear, I dont see any need to go bigger personally.

I am planning on racing the whole JBRL series, should be a lot of fun. Do you know if you just sign up at the track, or if you have to sign up prior?
