Is the stock chassis good or has there been a stiffer chassis released yet? Thank!

wide front bumper is a must have on any track, cuts down on front end breakage.

I wonder if it will be a new car or a revision of the BD.
heard it will be a car similar to the one that won the JMRCA. In the feb isssue of RC World they featured Masami's car and it was labelled as MR4TC BDM SP. for existing owners of BD, no worries of your car becoming outdated. it looks like something you can buy parts to upgrade to.

Thanks for the reply.

Someone told me they saw a picture of Graingers car with a sticker on it saying BD V2.

As i posted on here once before its a shame that Yokomo Team Drivers dont share their knowledge on this thread a bit more, oh well that life.

Hi All

Ok this is what I know, As far as I have been told by Yokomo [and we have been talking a lot over the past 2 weeks] They have no plans to release a NEW Touring car in 2007, This is an off road year, as they call it. Because of the off road Worlds this year, as far as I have been told they will not update the BDM as they car we used at the Japan Nats was an almost 100% out the box BDM. Very few changes. As for my kit we may do a version 2 but it will not be a lot different, just some 2007 mods.

Chris

Default Thanks

Thanks for the response Chris.
The BD is still a top competive car in all manners.
I love my BDM always trying to get a little more speed out of it. The plus side for me it can fit a brushless system easily.

My only wish they is Yokomo would have come out with a milled 4mm carpet chassis like tamiya did for theirs.

Orlando,

i was surprised how you finished your race with a blown diff!!!

now here are few thing i don't mind having.
1) A 3.5mm top and bottom deck
2) more choice of caster block
3) outdrive that accept blades.

I drew up a chassis but i have not checked dimensions on it yet. I dont run Yokomo anymore but if i can borrow a car off someone i will complete it and with bits milled out so roll centres are the same. Top deck is done. And the 2nd pic is an idea to stiffen the car.

Has someone tried using the 415MSX rear diff on the BD? i remember someone saying that it might fit. if yes, then you can have an aluminium diff with blades.

I tried the using a custom 3mm chassis but the roll center was just all off the BD likes to sit as low as possible.

I'll try to fit an EVO 5 diff we might get lucky, believe the diff is the same as the MRE with the blades.

Ming,
it was kinda of funny....the sound kept getting louder and louder..then the rear diff went out about 1 1/2 minutes left to go. I was surprised the car kept going.

I going to need some time to get it done as iv got alot going on at the moment. I'll get the drawing checked then will get the bits that need to be milled on there. It may not have the outer servo ear though.
