The "1" knuckle sold with 0 deg rear hub, SD-415(normal), SD-415G(graphite).
Why don't you get the aluminium knuckle, much less problem with stripping. Speed model make some cheap one. I think US$16 a pair for either "1" or "0"knuckle. Although I don't know who have them in stock.

Pops, please don't refer the steering knuckle as "0"deg & "1"deg, you confuse many people. Those are "0"mm trailing(inline) & "1"mm trailing.

Trailing(i hope this is the right word), center of drive axle is behind center of king-pin. e.g. if you also run 1/12, look at the steering block, the axle is 1/8"(3.2mm) behind the kingpin(side view). in case of BD, it's 1mm, I think only yokomo use trailing steering knuckle. All the companies like X-ray, HPI, Asso etc, only has inline steering knuckle.

inline means "0"mm trailing, the"1"mm we should not call it inline.
"0"mm has more steering and more responsive, use it when I run spool outdoor or indoor with one-way. Use "1"mm only on big oudoor track with one-way, make the car easy to drive in fast corners. Other people may have different ideas

The 1mm trailing give less entry steering and makes the car less aggressive.
The other night I snapped a pin in the universal, so I decided to do what some of you guys doand go and buy a drill blank and make my own pins. But I am having some problems.
1. None of the hardware stores I call sell drill blanks
2. When I say #53 they just look at me like this all the drill bits are measured in mm, not numbers. So I will have to measure diameter of the pin, but thats no big deal.
But where did you guys find drill blanks???
Edit: Can someone please tell me the diameter of the pin because my calipers are useless
And I remember someone said you can use a 1.5mm allen key cut to size to use as a pin, but it doesn't fit...

`Those pins are 1.5mm dia.
1.5mm allen key is 1.7mm from corner to the opposite corner, flat side to the opposite flat side is 1.5mm. It's too big to fit into the hole.

I couldnt get drill blanks either so just ordered #53 drill bits and cut the shank off them. I got 2 pins for every bit I cut. I havent broken a pin since.
Get them from donovans trade supplys or similar.
PM me if you cant find them and I'll get you some from whangarei.
cheers
