I'm just back from racing and here are my experiences with the carpet chassis...
My first thoughts were: Where is my steering gone? The car had good corner speed but was pushing a lot. First, I tried different tires but nothing really worked so I changed rear toe-in to 2 degree, used softer springs and used the most outer hole on the A-arm in front (everything step by step and only one changing at a time)
. The car was really good and carried a lot of corner speed. I was just missing a bit of steering in very tight corners. The solution was simple but effective: I removed the stiffener post in the rear and the push was nearly eliminated.
I have to try a few different things next time and see how it works. All in all the chassis works better for rubber tires then I expected.
