Randy congrats on your performance. I saw your 23 lap run and I thought that would put you on top for the A main. I guess you had some trouble in the earlier runs cause i didn't see too many 23 lappers in open mod.

Unfortunately my only other fast run was 10th fastest of the round, that was 4'th fastest. I'm still really happy to do that well considering last year I placed 6'th in the D, and this year there were 80 racers instead of I think 50 last year.

Thanks Ramon, I'm gonna do a lot of racing this year, even moving up to the Huntington Beach area just to be around racetracks so I get a lot more practice in.

Moving just to go racing? That's hardcore, but then again a lot of guys did that. Hell, Hodapp moved from up north to race in Cali.

Tell me about it. I work at Naval Air Station North Island and live in Riverside. But I'm getting out so it won't be a big deal, and where I live in Riverside is 41 mi. from SoCal and 56 from 4Fun.

Angry Bearing Buster

Holy Crap!!!

Is it just me or does this car go through bearings!!

I just inspected my hub bearings only to find that 5 of the 8 bearings were frozen stiff!!!

I only raced the car 2 qualifiars on a groomed track!!!

This must be a record. What am I doing wrong???

This isn't normal wear, make sure that you dont have your axles shimmed up too tight. When you tighten the wheel nuts there should be no more bind than there is when they are loose, if there is, file down the back of the wheel hexes to get a little more space.

I run the 94452 servos from Airtronics, I believe they are discontinued now though. I'll check out racers edge and see if I can find a horn that will work for me.

Hey Shookie, I've been a little 'lazy' & sick lately so I haven't even touched the LCG yet. As far as the Rubberneck bumper goes, do as Randy says and shave it. My bumpers look great... Yoke, Pro4, RDX.
I finally finished up the electronics layout, take a peek
Until next time... -JB

Looks good, but I think the electronics are miles too far from the centerline of the chassis.. Move it in as close as you can!
