Well ran the BD today in Stock. Ended up goin back towards the "kit setup." Seemed to work best. But I did change the rear toe from 3deg to 2 deg rear block. I also ran the Yokomo Spool for like a lap or 2 before I sheared off the outdrives on the right side... Even split the aluminum drive cap!! Yeah, it was a new track layout. Goin down the back straight and a board/flapper was sticking out on the sweeper... Well I caught that and the rest was history. No more spool!! Oh well.. I'll be waiting for the SpeedtechRC spool. Til then I'll be running the spool.

I also ran the car with a 7single for a pack after the race. Car was smooooth. But had a bad off power push. I'll have to work on a setup for that if I am to use a oneway. If not... I'll be waiting for the direct pulley and Speedtech spool.

Anyways, I like the car alot. Can't wait to get it dialed for mod!!

I havent perfected a spool setup just yet, kinda waiting for the Reedy race where I can really get on a track that will work with a spool. However I ran a really tight front diff and it had a lot of steering, was able to run the same laptimes as the 1 way cars when I was testing with it. Unfortunately in the high-speed sweeper at SoCal it did "diff out" and lose a lot of cornerspeed if I wasnt careful.

Randy, have you already got spool and a fixed center pulley?

What would you expect from a car which has a front spool but a center one way?

and how would you perhaps alter a normal spool setup to compensate this?

Anyone figured out a good foam carpet setup for 19t yet. I was going backwards trying to get the car to hook up. Finally got it to do a little better. After driving my buddies FK05 and a JRX-S, I found I still have a ways to go.

Yes, I have spools and locked center pulleys now. I have never run a spool/1 way combo before, just double 1 way, and double locked. Generally going from a double 1 way to a single 1 way front diff, you will gain more initial steering.

I dont run spools unless I have to (Reedy Race) so I dont do much testing with them. I think 1 ways will have the advantage on any asphault track with the right setup.

Rob, you still running a center oneway? If so.. just wait for the direct pulley to come out. Should help the car some. Also, a stiffer chassis might help as well. The car was just too flexie up there and the center oneway didn't help either. Of course a good spot on the drivers stand helps alot. hehe.... I was only able to get a 9.6 lap up there when I could actually see the track.

i have to agree... we almost always run outdoor on an asphalt track, and most people run a 1way.

... but right now i run a front 1way, with a locked center pulley, and i felt it added more off-power steering
