did you end up changing the bulkhead bearings?? I ran my TC with dual TCX diffs, and didn't like how slow the car felt...i threw around the idea of change out the bearings since the diff doesn't run on the bearings once everything is all shimed out

I used a wider bearing on one side to take up the slop.. another guy at the track put two bearings in one side and that seems to do the trick too.. also I only put the gear diff in the rear.. not the front.. I like to have the brakes a spool gives.. if ur running a gear in the front.. I would put some really thick oil in there.. like 100K-300K

A couple of pages back u put a pick of ur gear diff in the car.. there is not that much slop.. only a couple of mm's..some shimms would work ok.. just not wide ones.. thin like the hot bodies diff shims..

yes i did, but after looking at the car and running it...the outdrives were not actually supported by the bearings - so the car had a ton of drag

I need to measue the diameter of the outdrives then try to hunt down some bearings..

it will work and has great potiential - but you need to replace the bulkhead bearings with smaller inner diameter bearings to REALLY make it work

If you have the dimensions and/or part # for ordering the bearings, please post them. Would like to do this without having to use a bunch of shims.

Sounds like too much power to the rear wheels, front lifting too high, maybe adjust your front droop.

XXX main chassis set up book is a good reference.

Flanged bearing + plastic bearing holders from tc with few shims will do the trick. You have to rearange centar pulleys.

Just picked up a Cyclone TC for VTA Class. Looking for a FDR around 4.0. Does anybody have recommended gearing to reach this ratio with a spur/pinion that will fit onto the Cyclone TC???
thanks

Try gearchart.com and you can print a whole list for you.

But in the meantime, a 90t spur with a 48t pinion (4.06ish) or a 90/49 (3.98) is as close as you get
