At the IIC this year, Andy was using one car for both mod and 13.5 so i guess the setup would work fine for 17.5 as it was excellent for 13.5. Is there huge difference between 13.5 and 17.5?? i have never tried 17.5 so may be i'm wrong...

Hope it helps

The difference is the 13.5 is faster on the straight, but I have seen 17.5 do less lap time than 13.5 in the right hands.

How about throwing some of the more recent setups on the HB site? The last published setup sheet on the HB page is from way back at the 2008 Reedy race!

Any chance of some Hot Bodies TC tips videos coming out? Something similar to the recent Groskamp Tamiya videos on RedRC of him setting up and building his 416. That would be most excellent.

What was your motor of choice?

What are your thoughts on the X12?

When should we use one more than another and which in front and rear ?
I usually always run the 3 deg suspension mount in the rear. This gives 3 deg of toe in, which is the preferred setting for most classes. It provides very stable cornering, and good balance. Sometimes if I want to free up the rear end, I run the 2 or 2.5 deg rear block. This will give the car more steering through the middle and exit.

For the front, I usually start with the 1.5 deg block. This gives 1.5 deg of arm sweep. When you run less arm sweep (0 or 1 deg suspension mount), this will make the car enter the corner more aggressive, but be smoother through the middle and exit of the corner. The more sweep you run (2, 2.5, or 3 deg) will give slightly smoother steering on entry, but have more steering through the middle and exit of the corner.

Hope that helps!

I'm sorry but I still have some questions to lead: what are the "2.0deg blocks" and the tires are the Solaris? and if that strength?
Thanks in advance

- DCJ Drive Shafts (used in front)

- HPI Shock Springs (gold up front/Silver in rear)
- HB's ceramic diff balls
- 4mm Hex hubs (used in front)
Hi I noticed that Barry is using 2.0 deg on FF and FR block. What's the effect compared to the stock FF FR blocks?

Yes thanks

Question related to that.

What is the difference (or not) between the toe-in given by the suspension mount, from the turnbuckles and the C-hubs ??
