I have been using HPI pro 4 alloy knuckles for 3 years, I find the C-carriers last longer. I think the alloy knuckles brace the C-carriers and help make them stronger.
The alloy C-carriers will bend, it's hard for me to tell if one is bent or not so I don't use them.

you should have asked me, i was at the track saturday.. you can try 92 spur with a 53 pinion, if running the 16 tooth layshaft pulley 92/53 x 2.44=4.23 FDR.. dont forget you CANNOT run under a 4.20 FDR with lipo and 21.5 brushless combo..

unless you upgrade the 2 center layshaft pulleys to 18 tooth which she carries in stock, then the FDR is 2.16, i use the 18 tooth, and so i dont have to run that smaller spur gear.. running a 100 tooth now.

its easy to tell, you just look at it, or if your blind you can see which upper turnbuckle is bent further back than the other. It is a sure fire way to tell if its bent if the turnbuckle is further to the back of the car than the other turnbuckle.

finally put my battery strap in and wanted to post a pic. this is an x-ray strap, that has been fitted on a cyclone. Enjoi.

also a couple of notes about my chassis, i have the center deck cut to increase chassis flex (design from James from XRC), stainless steel screw kit, came with the car, and they are just prettier, and motor/esc setup is Speed Passion GT 1.1 and MurfDogg 7.5

On low traction tracks i have found pushing the rear arms forward generates a lot more on power grip. You will loose some on power steering.

Reducing the punch on the ESC and/or puting a milder motor might be a good ideia. 4.0 and lipo is not easy if you dont have traction.

Boa sorte

so yesterday i had a big race. OC Circuit 10th annyal toys 4 tots race and the starting round for the 6 race series for the Speedtech RCGT Showdown at the same event. My car was dialed in sportsman running "SpeedRex" 32 premounts...

but when i threw on my rcgt stuff (which on a different car always handled well) the car didnt handle and pushed on every turn. This time in RCGT though, it was different. I used 6mm offset wheels all around a 200mm body fir the first time (my brother had been using a 200mm body with 0 offset wheels for a while with good success). I swapped back to my 190 body (lambo Gallardo. The 200mm was an M3 GT) and my 0 offset wheels and the car was working well again.

What is it about offset wheels (and/or that body) tha was causing my car to handle differently?

When you have 3mm/6mm/9mm off-set wheels on your car, the overall width (from the center to the center of tires) will be wider. Basically the car should be stable with the wider width while the narrow width wants to make more roll. Therefore the narrower(less off-set) generates more traction and the wider(more off-set) makes the car stable.

hope it helps...

Upper or lower? I have the 3racing upper bulk head on the front of my cyclone after I broke the original one. The upper is braced like the new tc style bulkheads are. I know 3racing had a problem with the lower bulkheads where you had to shim them to get the diff bearing holders to fit right
