Yup, tried the grease thing and still didn't like the way they worked. Honestly, I don't have much trouble with my pulleys being open but I race primarily on indoor carpet right. I rarely race outdoors.
i need some shocks and was wondering if anyone has some spares they could sell me at a decent price :-)

Don't touch the 3Racing shock as they are rubbish.
This has probably been asked already but has anyone found that the new center pulleys(18t) and belts(170t,63t) make any difference as i wouldn't mind getting them if they do. I run on a small indoor carpet track.

I figured I would need some unique shims. Thanks man!
Also does anyone know where to get an alternative to the HPI diff grease? It looks silver/metallic, what If I get a bottle of high temp axle grease (red) from the auto parts store? This grease is $2.39 for a tiny tiny container.

dang man, i just looked into getting some nice HB shocks, they want $20 for a pair of bodies, $8 for a pair of lower caps, $8 for a pair of upper caps, $3 for shocks parts, $8 for a pair of titanium shock parts, $2 for o-rings, $3 for bladders, $2 for reboudn foams, $2 for shock pistons, $2 for e-clips, then $20 for aluminum spring perches, then another $8 for a pair of spring collars.
I think once you get all of it, cost you at least $100.

if i go that way ill keep my current rods and eclips and orings unless the rings need changing

17.5,13.5 or 10.5 brushless. The pulleys are OK but I found the front belt to be a little long, there's no adjustment left once the tension is set. If it wasn't such a pain, I'd tear it down again and try a used (stretched) stock belt maybe. Overall though, it's alot easier to deal with the 2.16 ratio for brushless. I also run regularly on a smallish carpet track with foams.

yeah man from the sounds of it, just a set of 4 shock bodies is $40, upper caps $16, lower caps $16, spring perches, $20, springs $10, spring collars $20, even using your old parts still comes out to way over $100 lol.

I installed the 18T pulleys and longer belts, a must if you're gonna run
