3Racing CY-08/PU: Has anyone here used this part and had trouble with it?
I got a pair today, tried to install them using the diffplates that came with the S, which I believe is the same part as the standard Cyclone, but the Diff Plates dont sit flush against the outdrives and the diff seem to be to tight, tight enough that you practically have to unscrew them so you can turn the wheels with moving the drivetrain.

I'm guessing that is the purple diff outdrive set?
I've been using one for quite some time now with no problems, the diff is just as smooth as it ever was.

Ramon, If I asked you would you solder black wire's onto my sphere tc? I can solder, But its more on and off with the wire right into the speedo lol And frying a 200 doller speedo would SUCK....Its a fast task isnt it?
And 2nd, Well for anyone, If the sphere tc is sitting so the wires (motor and batt wires) are facing the batery, how far does it hang off the chassis?

New Cyclone Guy
Sweet, I got a Cyclone off the boards and am ready to start racing touring. The car needs a bit of work and cleaning to prep it, but not a big deal for what I paid for it
A few questions. I was buying parts to replace worn items and what not. I will be running it in stock with a 13.5. I was planning on getting
1) Excel Low Friction Belts(I hear they suck in MOD but should be cool for stock)
2) 3Racing Center Pulley Set
Any idea on how to get this badboy geared with a 13.5R? I read some of the past threads and it seems like a PITA, but with the different center pulley gears from 3Racing, I should be legit right? Or would I just be better off just tossing in a CO27 with my old cyclone ESC and calling it a day?

That's what I thought too... and was thinking it might be 19T to get a 2.052 transmission ratio.
For those that PM'd me...
2.0 transmission: 36/18
the belts are very very loose at the moment... looking for front/rear belts that are 1 tooth less than stock.
for now this is what I'm using:
(2) sets of 3Racing red belt tension cams
(2) sets of 3Racing 18T pulleys
(1) rear belt tensioner
(2) Pro3 36T diff pulleys... one of them you'll need to ream out to fit the one-way or spool.
able to get to a 4.6fdr using a 106/46 5cell for 10.5bl.
2.1666 transmission: 39/18
(1) Yok BD rear belt 189mm 63T
(1) Mi3 front belt 510mm 171T
(2) sets of 3Racing red belt tension cams
(2) sets of 3Racing 18T pulleys
the yok rear belt is a perfect fit.. waiting on the Mi3 belt to arrive. and I'll confirm fit. with the stock front belt..it's way way too Tight!! don't try it!
if you do order the 18T 3racing pulleys..make sure you also order some replacement pulleys... they are made for the TAO5..but fit the cyclone mounts and come 2ea.. 16/17/18T
pics of the 18T pulley installed and 3Racing 5cell chassis.

How are those 3Racing pulleys, are they any good? What about other 3Racing parts, they have some interesting parts I want to try out.
