was running 13.5 on my TC's maiden run. after running less than 2 packs, my rear arm broke off where the rear hub suspenion pin mounts... also the suspension pin broke into 2 pieces. hahahahaha!

Looks like you might want to invest in some of the old arms.....LOL Sorry to hear that you had a crappy experience in under two packs. Did you get to run the car much after after you repaired it????

unfortunately i didn't bring spares that day. wasnt expecting anything to break that soon. hahahahaha! I use to run my Xray T2'07 with a 4.0BL and the only parts i'd break were the drive shaft cushions.

but with the 2 times i was out on the track i found myself dialing down the steering EPA. this kit loves to steer (which i like). started with 40% epa on the 1st pack and gradually got myself to 65%. then the car broke.

I wonder if the latest LiPo battery pack (5000 , 5500) will fit without any modifications.
If you grind off 1.5mm from the aluminum bracket over the battery you will have room for a 23mm lipo to slide in without rubbing. I was reluctant to grind it off but it's not a big deal at all and I think 24mm would fit OK.
I have the 2.5mm chassis, you will have less room with a thicker chassis.

Could someone give me the part # for the purple front lower balk heads ???
All I have is the # for the black ones.
Thanks

+1 on the grind option. You'll notice that the screw itself doesn't come through the bracket all the way. I ground mine up to the bottom of the screw.
I'm running an SMC 4000 Lipo (20.5mm height) + Manutech plate under it (+2mm), and it barely fits (~ 1mm gap).
Another Cyclone driver at our track is running the Reedy 5000 20c, but no plate... just a lot of lead around it.

The front purple lower bulk heads are #67706

I was looking at Atsushi Hara's set up sheet for carpet and he has his shock springs labeled as 33lb in front and 28lb in rear. Does anyone know what colors that corresponds to for HPI springs or the springs that ship with the cyclone tc?

That's carpet on foam tires. I'm almost 100% sure he ran Xray springs. Now days a spring setup like that wouldn't work so hot in the first place. Now days we are running a 17-20lb rear spring, and about a 30-33lb front spring. Mainly because we now run the same compound of foam tires all around, as opposed to having a front tires with a really hard outer sidewall.

Color wise... I'm pretty sure thats xray violet and purple. those are both stiffer than the HPI pro 4/cyclone springs as they only go to about 24 lbs. It's geared for rubber tire racing, instead of foam.

Hope that helps some.

Carpet is great so long as you can take the paragon fumes all day Traction is awesom and 13.5 is more fun than mod ever was.

He was in the "B" main, so I don't think you would want his setup..

But, He said he did "win practice" so it might be something to try.
