Hey guys ran into a problem last night. I finally have my car pretty well set up and switched to some jaco greens on the crc carpet I race on. So far I love the tires and such but at about the 3-3:30 mark in the race my car gets tail happy. When I pull the car off after 5 minutes the front tires are warm but the rears are still cool. Is there any way to fix this and warm the rears? I am running full paragon on the rears and just the inside edge sauced on the fronts.

Sometimes thats a sign of your car pushing too much, and having to use too much wheel travel. The front tires are might be sliding and creating most of it's heat that way.

Maybe make your car more aggressive, and turn down your total steering travel a bit? That should give you the steering you need without stressing the tires so much.

Also... if you run a spool that will be a very very very common situation reguardless of your setup.

sorry for a bit of off topic, but Korey, this ones for you:

your current avatar is of the HB wall desktop with HARA's skull graphics. (which i once had) but for the life of me, I can't seem to find the original HB link anymore? seems they have pulled it off the website?

anyone care to pass the super high res version to me? think it was a 1600 x1200 res version.

cheers

Ummm....

I actually stole this avatar from Hiro who works at HPI/HB USA. So, I don't have a high res version for you. Hopefully someone else does though. I think it would make a killer desktop background.

What a weekend. I let you guys down by not putting my car in the show. Had some great runs and just couldn't finish the deal. Had a great run going and would have placed 5th in the A-main overall and crashed. Oh well I had a blast. The car was pretty good and I tested 4 different bodies. I even ran the super twitchy R9. I got it up to a 4 as far as stability goes Our spec tire was the RP30 and while they were fast the wear is HORRIBLE. Running 13.5 we were wearing them out in 5-6 runs What if we were running mod They got faster on the 2nd run though. We also tried something different that my boy Art has had some good luck with and that's running tamiya pistons in the shocks. The car felt good with the combination we went with. I also like the original shock locations on the arms. The new holes on the TC arms haven't grown on me yet. They either make the car push or border line twitchy. More testing will need to be done. That's all I have for right now. Still tired so I will report more tomorrow.

just wondering what spur and pinion size to use with a 6.5t brushless motor with 16t belts and pulleys? is this the same with 18t belts and pulleys?

Rhys.
