Finally solved my electronics fitment delema.. I did hack off one of the servo ears and only secured by the single ear in front and some shoo-goo.. now all the electronics sits flat...

Also received today is the new 3-Racing clip-on heatsink w/fan. fan is 7.2v and can be directly soldered to the battery leads or with the supplied connector to an open slot on the receiver. the Fan works better if wired directly to the battery.

I found that the Pro4 shock caps provided a better seal than the stock black ones... I was getting more shock rebound with the pro4 caps. Also fitted is the Pro4 spring collar.

Car pretty much all finish just some minor tuning and hope to do some test runs this week and hopefully race it this weekend.

The spool costs $43 with the current exchange rate. With that you get all the hardware necessary to bolt it straight into the car. The real beauty of the design is the cups are interchangeable and are machined for a perfect fit. They do not require an o ring to hold them in place, which in our testing allowed the cups to move creating more wear. On the shaft cars it ate the gears as the centre section moves. Plus of course you get the highest grade of materials for longer life. The HPI part wears out after a couple of runs...

Good luck which ever spools you choose. My cyclone is awesome!!

after having experience with the hpi spool on my pro4 wearing out after half a dozen runs in 27t stock, the extra for this spool should be worth it (and the cost of a pair of replacement cups is roughly the same as the cost of a pro4 spool anyway), so I've ordered mine, I look forward to receiving it...
