It's about the same size as the one I got with my speed passion motor.

Hi all,

I have been offered a cyclone black - brand new never used, and was wondering what needs to be upgraded straight away.

also, he has said that he has had the FR suspension holder machined flat to stop them rubbing on the steering rods - is this a normal mod? what effects on the handling will that have?

Many thanks

Matt

its gonna depend on who makes your BL system...

like THancock said - with the speed passion setup, you have a choice to purchase a shorter sensor wires...As far as I know, the system from Novak only come with 1 length wire - and the Novaks seem to be the most popular...

Yep that is pretty normal, its actually a step on instructions which have been done by hara.

You dont really need to upgrade anything. For faster classes (19T or higher) you are gunna want to change the centre pulley to fixed with spool up front instead of a center oneway.
Although i personally would run a spool and fixed center pulley in stock

Also HD Steel unis up front are a good idea as they are a lot more durable than the aluminium ones.

Result!

Also the ball cups have had the tops taken off - usual practice?

it comes with a new spool and 4 HD drive shafts.

I run 13.5, so may be a good idea to get the uprated rear diff and motor mount?

I actually prefer the black anodizing than the purple.

Thanks for all your help.

Default Plastic or Aluminum?

Would the aluminum differential joints work OK in stock class racing or are they pretty heavy and I should just stick with the plastic ones?

for stock the plastic ones will probably work out better.
the aluminum ones are slightly heavier.

the Tamiya 37T pulley from the 501/416 is a perfect fit for the new diff set.
when used with the 18T pulley and original belts.
Transmission ratio is 2.055
