I need some help for assphalt setup, the car keeps coming around, stepping out and then doing a 180, drifting etc...this is on corner entry and exit.

My current setup:
1.5 neg camber all around
30wt AE oil all around
Gold/silver springs
3mm under front ball studs
2mm under rear ball studs
2.5 degree front pivot block
3 degree rear block
no roll center shims
1.6mm front sway bar
1.2mm rear sway bar
4.5mm ride height
6mm front droop
5mm rear droop
Muchmore 24 R premounts

Soft tyres... what class are you running, i assume you are running stock or brushless stock with a one-way?

Any reason why your arent running the roll center shims? (1.5mm is pretty standard).

Is the rear of the car too hard? Are you using the centre holes on the rear shock towers maybe ditch the rear sway bar **SHRUG**

Pull off the pinion and check there is no binding in the drive train (especially the front universal cross joints).
Also double check the hinge pins arent bent (the front ones are the most likely ones to be out of whack).

I also find that the car can handle funny if youve been putting off rebuilding the diff

My set up is similar, I have .5 deg of toe, 1.5mm of shims under all the toe blocks, 2.5 toe block in the rear, and 1.5 toe block in the front, copper sway bar in the rear, silver up front, 2mm of ackerman..

24's? How cold is it over there LOL? Thats a soft tire! Are you sure you arent overheating them? That will cause the problem you are having... Maybe try 28's, or 32's

you guys are both running 1.5mm shims under the blocks? what does it do? Its like 70 degrees here, the tires dont get too hot!

I also shoulda stated im running on my driveway which is completly unswept, and untreated!

Im just wanted to see what the car would do on assphalt since its pretty dialed on carpet? I was shocked that it would slide like a drift car!

I love building diffs so mine is always smooth, i check all hinge pins after every race, im running 10.5 with a one-way.

Yup! Raising roll center, which if I remember right is sacrificing transition speed for traction.... How hot is your surface your running on?

Thats def a problem! Why not a track?

the surface was 80 degrees, but it still shoulda been close, the car was scary to drive with the way it would drift.

driving on the un treated surface would require a slightly different set up. Carpet is normally med to high grip depending on how much traffic the race has. Unswept and untreated is the reason why your car felt like a drift car.

Thanks for posting your setup.... I'm going to try it in mod and see how it works for me this Sunday. I know it's for 13.5 but I am using a 4600MM (a little more than a 10.5) to start my asphalt mod season with. My layout has many tight turn, is there something I should change or should I try it like it is first ????
Thanks again

Try increasing the ackerman from 2.5 to 4, and or change the front pivot block from the 1 to a 1.5 or 2, try it and see which one works good for you.

Also you could try raiseing the front rear block from the 1.5mm spacer to a 2mm giving the car some anti-dive. I'm going to be trying this change this weekend.

I'm going back to our standard set up. It was consistent and always kept me in the hunt for the win. I tested alot of set up's in two days and find myself sticking with the regular.

higher roll center will keep the car from rolling (leaning), making the car react faster and have more traction. On low bite outdoor tracks with
rubber tires a high roll center will get you the best results.

I would start with thickening your oil, try 45-50wt.
