Replace your Spool with the Ver3 spool. You have the ver.2 Those wear pretty fast. The Ver. 3 has replaceable outdrives for cheap.

well if your using the spool that came with the Hara/Surikarn kit then your screwed. They used a soft aluminum for the cups on those kits, they were out pretty quick in mod racing.

If you stepped up and bought the Ver. 3 Spool, it has replaceble hardneded steel cups, for only $5-8/pair. I have a pack of these NIP for you if you need them asap, $8 shipped, lemme know.

I know HB screwed up there pretty bad, but I think the reason they made the ver.3 spool in black was so it could go with the black cyclone and the surikarn cyclone without looking rediculous

I sold my ver.3 spool and got the 3racing peice because it came in purple and is exactly the same spool, except you have to drill the cups to fit the worlds 44mm CVD's.

guess im gonna have to buy the ver.3 spool @_@

anyways, got a new body done up by a friend for my cyclone...

its officially my "show body" but it may find its way into an RCGT class eventually...

The "rivets" are hand painted, everything else is all airbrush. The front light inserts and rear exhaust insert were also used....yeah boiiiii

I switched out the heat sinks but I don't need a low one anymore since I don't have it under the top deck. Mo has his new Tekin so we'll see if it doesn't blow up when he hits the brakes....

Thanks,

Car was killer today in practice then the track heated up and I couldn't get a hold on the set up. I'm going back out to practice tomorrow so we will see if I can correct some of the pushing problems I had with the car. Pretty much everyone in mod (other than MO) had the same issues.

Hi,
I am sure there's a bunch of gear ratio charts floating around ... and here's mine!
It's tailored for the Cyclone for rubber tyres, and can be configured easily for different spur/pinion ranges and internal ratios.

Cheers

Your chart is quite perfect... But it does not show the authorized range for Brushless... I use Vortex 6.5 and 5.5 so I tune the simple cross-chart with the available ratios for each motor... If somebody is interessed, just tell me and I would post it...

Default Cyclone S with 13.5 ?

I've been running my Cyclone S bone stock with a 27 turn motor for a while now and love it... I was thinking of putting a brushless 13.5 with Lipo into it ... I had someone at the track tell me that the power of the motor will eventually tear apart the chassis... Is this true ? Or should I be OK ? What would be the weakest part of the car that I could maybe upgrade ? Thanks for any advice...
