My setup is a little loose, but I run a front spool with center one-way. If I brake a little hard rear comes out but I can carry a lot of speed into the corners. Allen uses the Cyclone as his Mod car. The time bettween classes is to short to run both. So he run 10.5 turn in his TC5. Which seems to break on all the time.

I don't know what track conditions you guys race on but I think that the TC5 was the 2nd most durable car I have ever run. The MI2 was #1.

I can't speak for HB but I changed my MIP style CVD's to the tamiya style because the MIP versions that came with my Andy Moore car wore out quickly and caused more vibration than the tamiya style. I was going through dog bones rather quickly. I got a lot more usage out of the CVAs

What were your racing conditions when you were wearing out CVD's? Carpet, Asphalt, Foam, Rubber, Mod, Stock?

Just curious.

i run with Dotman.. he wore them out so fast because he was off-roading with his cyclone trying to keep up with the 8th scale buggies.

fairly smooth Asphalt. The reason they wore out so fast is the design seemed to cause more chatter at full lock then the tamiya stye. that combined with the chatter caused by the spool is what caused them to wear out so fast. The MIP style work fine on the rear of the car though.
