I'll post some pics of the 3R spool kit tonight, it's still in the package.

Maybe you rubber tire guys can let me know if it's crap.

All you have to do is ream out the hole because the HB's CV pin is bigger

Much better for the price, and they last just as long
That's why I kept my TC5 blades and the car still has the orginal set we put on it with no signs of wear.

The V1 bones fit the 3Racing spool. If you had a black Cyclone then you have V1 bones.

I have about 30 races on a 3Racing spool with no problems.

13.5 and rubber on asphalt. Using the HD version 1 bones.

I liek the 3racing spool kit, very trick looking. Unfortunately if your going to use worlds CVD's then you must drill the centers on the cups to fit the CVD.

How much easier is it to drive with a front diff instead of a one-way?
...how about a spool instead of a one-way?

I have a one-way installed and I've gotten somewhat used to it, but I wonder how a diff might improve my driving/lap times.
...the lack of front brake and perfecting my coasting is getting annoying.

Here's the pic of the 3R spool. You're right V1 bones....no blades. I'd expect the steel drive cups to notch early but, if you've all had luck with them, I'll bolt the little bugger in and see how it holds up.

i went from a car with front diff to a cyclone with front spool and, among other things, the car feels incredibly better. For stock racing, but fast enough to where you have to tap the brake, i say go spool (go spool for MOD for sure). For one-way, if you slow down enough due to drag brake, traction, whatever...then you dont need break and can carry speed much better through turns and not worry about lack of front brake. Personally, i like the spool. It makes my car feel soooo much more stable.

Hi,
I have just raced my new Moorespeed Cyclone last weekend in Brushless Stock and all I can say it handles much better than my old black Cyclone I used my old setup and seem to have enen more rear grip than before. I beat my PB lap time by nearly 1/2 a second.

Thank you guys and yes my Cyclone was black when I got it. now it's 85% purple.

My pro spec diff should be at my house this week, One thing I did not think about was will my V1 steel rear bones fit the new PS diff ????

B18C turbo... You drilled the cups to fit... Are the cups that come with the 3racing spool hard steel ???

Thanks again

Default droop

I am setting up my cyclone using the Hotbodies site setup to my understanding the ride height is 5.5mm rear and 5mm front but this is where I am confuse the droop is 5.5 and 5mm my question is this above ride height? if it is that is a lot of droop because when I am on carpet I would use 1.5mm above ride height front and rear but asphalt the setup on droop is different but 5+mm above ride height seems too much can some one help me with where to start my droop setting at.

The droop isn't above ride height. The 5.0 and 5.5 refer to droop when measured on a droop gauge.
