Yes, I prefer "Tamiya-style" shock mounting.
The caps and ball ends come from the Nitro R40 and Pro3. I used a Tamiya ball nut on the shock tower and a Tamiya ball stud on the arm. HPI makes the ball studs and ball nuts (they come stock on the R40), but the Tamiyas were the only ones available to me when I first made the conversion.

Our business used to support the 415, and we really preferred this style of mounting.

I'm working on installing my electronics now...there's not much room to work with, even with my KO electronics! I'll post some pics when I'm done.

Has anyone got any news on when the cyclone spool will come out? Also any news on any steel front UJ's?

Still got that, waiting for the MSX upgrade kit and the MSX full kit. Also got a corally RDX as well and a MR4SDWCR but that has never been ran.

Even more interesting MSX vs. Cyclone. So you will have a lot of choices for the race.

I am going to go testing in a few weeks and then narrow my car choice down to less than i have at the moment. I will probably just end up with a pair of MSX's.

just came from the iic at vegas and the samurai warrior hara was smokin. he was untouchable in rubber and foam.

he just was clobbered by the field in the 1st lap by a very tight field. same thing happened to karn. it basically was just bad luck.

hara-san if you are reading this- domo arigato. you have been so helpful the whole week. i really appreciate your taking time out to attend to my questions. thank you also for giving me your set-up sheet for rubber and foam.
