Shaun Mac and all you great guys..... You have help me with my set up and I am very grateful. I do run on low grip carpet and low grip unprepared asphalt and with 35wt oil and 1mm under the front and 0mm under the back pivot blocks with 1.6 sway bar front(the rest of my car is Stew Noble's set up) works well for my style of driving. That being said I do drive to cautiously and find when coming out of a corners I can get right on it and it does not hook and the back stays in. Also it does chicane's better then anybody else's car. I can drive my car with confidence with this set up. I will not stop trying to make my car better and will try any thing you guys can suggest. Me and Xray Steve have found over the past year that what works on the Xray also works on the Cyclone so I have been using the Xray set up book witch explains things very well.
Thanks for all the help I have gotten from all of you.

Taffyjnr5,
I assume you have already checked, but just incase, have you checked the neutral is set properly on your esc or you dont have drag brakes set?

Also if you changed to a different motor, perhaps the different motor maybe effecting it?

You have checked the belt isnt tight but also make sure that the belt tensioner is not riding on the belt. It should be sitting just above the belt.

You may want to check that the bulkheads arent on the wrong way around (there is a correct right and left side) otherwise you may get binding in the diffs against the bearing holders (which sit in the lower bulkheads). You may also want to check to see if you need less shims on the diff before the bearings (although i would be surprised if that was the problem).

Does anyone know for sure if the Version 2 Steel drive shafts part number 61398 can be used for the front and rear? The web site says front and does not mention the rear.

Thanks,

Glad I could be helpful Lazer Guy. Suggesting set-up info can be tricky because everyone has their own driving style and what works well for one doesn't necessarily work for another. Don't be affraid to try new things in search of your perfect setup.

As was said before, the pro-squat can be a big help when the car wants to "step out" on you. I've had the exact same issue on asphalt.....pulling the trigger hard coming out of the corner and it feels like it wants to break loose, right? You may have to compensate up front for the slight push you may develop using pro-squat but that pretty simple to fix. Good luck!

Thanks,
I have used them front and rear **SHRUG**, but performance wise i finally got around to putting aluminium ones in the back (as they dont cop as much damage so you dont really need the HD Steel Uni's on the rear).

Default diff trouble

I finally ran into diff trouble this weekend.....nothin but grief at our final series race! Broken screws, mysterious tension loss, all the stuff everyone has been complaining about here for months. Guess it finally caught up to me. Has anyone been running the new diff yet? Is it good? Does anyone have them in stock?
