the way i set droop is I put the ride height gauge under the chassis over the desired amount of droop. For example, if ride height is 4.5mm, I will lift the chassis to 5mm using the ride height gauge. Then adjusting the droop screw until that tire is barely touching the surface.

I don't use a specialized droop gauge.

So going off what you described.....your droop would be at .5mm correct?

i guess that's one effect but what about front and rear weight transfer? droop also affects those actions and creates another synergy of reactions, right. i usually adjust roll characteristics with upper link angle and length and lower arm pivot height (roll center) and of course springs and sway bars to stiffen or soften the car to reduce or increase chassis roll.

hmmm, deep

i found it!

the first one is the complete ball diff with 2.6mm diff screw and 3mm ceramic thrust balls, possibly a pair of new thrust washers?

the second is aluminum diff halves to replace the steel ones that come one the new diff!

i think' i'll stick with my stock WCE diff's

Sorry for the confusion. Yeah,The black one is POM(derlin) and the other one is the aluminum for option. those work excellent and smooth operation last very long.

thanks,

How common is it to bend or twist a bulkhead in a crash?

i have a tweaked chassis, and was wondering if its worth me totally disasembleing my whole car to check the bulk heads, or just order a new main lower deck.

the chassis wont sit totally flat on my setup board, & i have already tryed all the screws on top and bottom deck to try and fix it.

any advise welcome.....

There is one thing I noticed that your signature says "Futaba". Do you have a Futaba servo on your car? if so, you should check the chassis tweak with servo mounts screw off. it some time makes the chassis tweaked with the Futaba servo like 9550. If those servo mounts are making the chassis tweaked, you might need to grind the servo case a little bit. Please also make sure the servo is slightly floating. (there should be a little gap between the servo and the main chassis)

Thanks,

you know those setup boards are not a perfect surface like glass? try putting the car on glass. I actually put mine on a peice of glass, had my mom hold the shock towers down, and I installed the top deck.

After that I put the car on my tweak station and it was flawless! I've never had a TC be flawless! im so glad it worked!
