having abit of gearing issues.....Needing to get a ratio of 8.1-8.2 and worked out what pinion i needed for the spur i had,But ended up too small,who knows of a spur/pinion combo that will work to get the gearing i need?

between 104/31 and 109/33 should allow you to go from 7.68 to 8.57 (both 64dp)
accumulated number of teeth on the gears should be larger then 134 for 64dp gears.
oh if you want to use 48dp the number should be greater then 102.

for the people interested in gearing numbers i made the following spreadsheet for the cyclone.
if the gearing will fit is shown in the table on the right which will turn green for a fitting set and red for something that will not mesh.

just the stock bearing.. I see no need to upgrade to Ceramics unless you're a world class driver. upgrading to expensive ceramic bearings will not make any racer faster. it's Practice! Practice! Practice!!!

so when is the Cyclone 2 coming out?

the purple alloy middle heatsink what are the benifits of running this on asphalt as apose to running the carbonfibre one.

I think the heat sink is more bling....Either way it came with my moore speed, so I use it

I have a BMI carpet chasis, top deck, mid deck, both shock towers...only thing I do not have is one of the 4 standoff posts. PM me if you are interested.
