The Andy Moore cant be that old, it just came out like a year and a half ago. Maybe Hara's is that old, Sukiharn, but not Moore's. Heck, Atsushi Hara won the on-road worlds asphalt in 2004 with the Pro4....

the red ones are a little thinner than the purples...

Looks good! how'd you get it to be so purple? I know stock turnbuckles are more blue..
and wouldn't it be better to have the transponder closer to the front? especially if the race is decided by milliseconds..?

The BMI outdoor chassis setup sells for about 125 dollars.

Anyone use the stock plastic Cyclone S chassis for outdoor racing? It sells for about 20 dollars US? My asphalt track is rather bumpy and unprepared. I have a feeling that I will ruin the carbon fiber chassis and may break it. Is this a good replacement without losing any performance?

As long as the other car aint a cyclone, if its that close its probably easier to accidentally hack the other guy

With the tub chassis from the Cyclone S i would suggest not using it if you have a proper kit.

I had a Cyclone S buts its been upgraded. The chassis snapped at the back between the rear pivot blocks and a few other people have had this problem with the tub chassis. I personally suspect the cause had something to do with the aluminium pivot blocks which i upgraded on the car.

You may find that the top deck will have to get shimmed strange if you add a tub chassis to the car (although im not sure about this).

The tub chassis is also a lot heavier.

The chassis is gunna get scratched anyway and id be surprised if everyone at the track was using a tub chassis on their car.
Round the edges well (the outside one) with a dremel and then seal with CA glue to help the chassis edges getting hacked up and then raise the ride height.

Ask the more senior racers at the track to help you with a good ride height to use.

Anyone have a picture of Hara's car that is referred to in this setup?

http://www.hpiracing.co.jp/contents/...ara070121C.pdf

the note on the bottom of the pages say:
"Using the main chassis of cyclone S"

Want to see what the rest of the car looked like with this chassis.

Also, since I am running lipos, wouldnt having a little heavier chassis be not that bad of an idea.

well if you mean the IFMAR ISTC Worlds 2004, it was 19 year old Marc Rheinard taking the crown.
