I think the fact of why I was so upset about the price was because I was really looking forward to this car. I supported it from the beginning. Maybe thats what drove up the price. But I also didn't think that HB was going to turn X-Ray on us and jack up the price. I actually thought since it was their first car, that it would be reasonable.
oh, well. I guess this is all just speculation since the street price is not yet official.

No other company has a car with quite as many hopup parts on list for it out of the box as Xray have, despite the car been a race winner out of the box (or so xray say).

i saw the new car bieng built as socal rc raceway yesterday the cars chasis is the same with as the pro4 looks pretty kool

Nobody say you MUST buy this car. Nobody kill you if you are not buy this car. If you think it's too expensive, you buy the cheaper one.

lol. they could probably beat us with a street weapon but not the people they race with lol. also that street price is the release price. if you want the car and dont feel like payingthe money. breathe and wait. it will go down in price within a few months like most kits. they know release time is the time to make the money because the people who really want are willing to pay the price. but if you really really dont want it the second it comes otu. just sit back and wait. hell who knows you might be able to find one used on here withins a few weeks or a month and save your selft the $$$

Your missing my point, and my humor for that matter.
What I am saying is that when I got back into this hobby after a long layoff, I got a nice car in the Pro4.
Which at the time was expensive at $300. Not the most expensive, but not far off the rest. Fast forward 1 1/2 years later and the norm price is now $400.
All I'm saying is how long before they start pushing it to $500 and $600?
I'm also sure the release price will be somewhere in the neighborhood of the X-Ray. However, X-ray set a benchmark and we leveled up to it. How long before they test us again?

eventhough xray set a bench mark...you still have to buy a ton of running parts for it...doesn't even come with swaybars...and the battery brace is over $40.00

Not sure you can hold that against Xray seeing as though from what I've seen the only way to hold the batteries in in the Cyclone is tape.

yea i am not to happy about that, i just the simplicity of the bar, all you have to use is a body clip.but seeing how the chassis are pretty much the same, you can just drill a few little holes in the chassis, like the pro4s and use a pro4 battery bar. i think i might just do that and see how it works since i have a extra pro4 battery bar assembaly.

also for a FK05, it cmoes with a normal diff so you have to go out and buy a Multi diff, another $65... at least the cyclone comes with a oneway

You guys in the USA must have a different spec Xray to us in the UK then as ours comes with the multi-diff for the front and not a ball diff. It's also considerably cheaper than most other competition cars.

we haven't seen any production details yet.

we'll have to just wait and see if it comes with the pro4 battery bar.
if it doesn't...I'm sure the pro4 battery bar can be made to fit with no problems...
