Well the release can't be that far away for us in the UK as Mirage Racing, the UK distributor are now listing it on their site under the products I've been told that we should expect a release date of early September. Also, the RRP has dropped from £399.99 to £374.99, so it's all good.
Does anyone know if the UK and Europe versions will come with CVD's instead of universal drive shafts like the Pro 4?
Has anyone heard anything about the release date of this car being pushed back and the shared parts list being shortened to less than ten parts?
I was at my LHS yesterday and the store manager told me that he had received information from his supplier that HB was going to change several parts, including the arms and hubs. Nobody else seems to have made mention of anything like this though.

I haven't heard anything, and I certainly hope those rumors aren't true as the compatibility between the Cyclone and the Pro 4 is one of the reasons for me wanting the Cyclone and not something else.
I'm not trying to start a rumor. The guy said that he had seen an updated list (which I couldn't find anywhere) of the parts that crossed to the Pro 4 and it was less than ten things. What he may have seen was HB's parts list which may have HB part numbers assigned to the same HPI parts. I was just curious if I had missed a post about a change in the shared parts. I agree with you guys as I've got a ton of Pro 4 parts and that is a big reason why I want this car.

Since all three thicknesses of the sway bars are listed in the spare parts section rather than the option parts section does that mean they will all be included?

if it's packaged like the pro4...not likely...may come with the thicker 1.6mm bars and the rest we have to purchase.

I can't believe Hot Bodies are going to charge so much for this chassis its daylight robbery in my opinion.
When ever some one makes a new chassis the most expensive part of production will be the tooling for the moulded parts, this is why new chassis cost more when they first come out, cos the manufacture wants to try and make some of this money back.
It looks like the majority of the moulded parts are from the pro4 so how do the justify it costing so much !!!!!
All I can think of is they know they can get away with charging so much because people have to have the latest product at any cost

I thought I was dumb when I got my FK05 for $370.
Unproven as of yet parts support, First electric tourer, nothing innovative about it and yet more expensive than Tamiya out of the block?!?
I don't care if it was made in conjunction with HPI. I'm a huge HPI fan but I wouldn't pay that much even for a Pro 5!
