John - I just noticed you have Tamiya style balls mounting the shocks, are they the same sixe as Tamiya units or a different brand?

PS always love the prep you put into your cars. Well done.

Though that recieve posi looks like it would be a pain to access the motor screws?

No problems with 48 pitch gears

For a normal cyclone max spur size is 81 which on rubbers the rollout is the pinion size.

However if you are running a really high rollout like above 35 you will need to go a smaller spur.

Thanks for the comments.

The shocks are mounted with original HPI parts. They are quite hard to find as they only come attached to a full shock parts sets for an other HPI car.

I think this is it:
http://www.hpieurope.com/piw.php?lang=en&partNo=a471

just make sure that you buy the correct part as the clap on shock mounting is also available in larger ball cup size from HPI.
On this one, the ball size is same as that of Tamiya and this helps in order to use TAMIYA 5mm floarine coated ball connectors.

Access to the motor screw is not a problem as there is space just in front of the receiver with only a very small angle to reach the motor screw.
Good point though!

Thanks Marcos! It's taken a little while to find something that suits me with this car but your set-up help from Jason got me really close. I've made a few changes to it and I need to fine tune it just a little more....then it's up to the driver...LOL!

sorry if this has been asked... just wondering if anyone knows if the new worlds edition spool(61086) works with the old v1 dogbones(61043).

Going to chuck a spool into my cyclone just need to know if i should order the bones as well...

No, old V1 does not work with the Ver2 or Ver3 spool.

You will need the latest version dogbones.
