yup, the following part number refers to the steel dogbones :
3) Part #: HB61398 Hot Bodies 44mm Ver.2 Heavy Duty Universal Bones - 1 set of 2 pcs

they have a kit for it, but the kit only comes with aluminum dogbones, not steel ones. so if you want the steel ones you'll need to get the parts separately.

glad to help.

uhm outdrives? sorry but i'm not sure which part you're referring to that you intend to re-use here. if you can post a pic or part number of the part you're referring to, i should be able to give you a better answer.

cuz i'm not sure if you're talking about the aluminum outdrives from the ball diff? or do you mean the universal rebuild kit?

nvr mind they fit in the cups

but the hardwhare doesnt =( DARN! it looks like same but in the version 2's the pin is bigger, and the one lil part that goes into the hole that the grub screw goes into is smaller.... so they look a ton better, so i need that lil rebuild kit and then im good

that was fast lol... yeah you'll need to get that universal rebuild kit. oh and don't forget to put some aw grease or bearing oil (your preference) to lubricate the contact areas between the "cup" of the wheel axle and the part of the steel dogbone that goes into the "cup" of the axle, this will help in reducing chatter. have fun

While we're at it, anyone know where I can get one of the newer chassis so I dont have to file so much to get my 4200's to fit?
