I think it is really smart to release a belt under the HB name. It allows them to have two cars running and dial both for certain tracks. Carpet and Asphalt?
It would really be a shame if they did not continue with shaft for the Pro 5.
I think there is a lot to learn from the Barracuda and the Evo IV about bulkhead and top deck placement.
If they were to develop the Pro 4 and just make minor adjustments to it like the TC3/TC4 they have a winning car for at least 3-4 years maybe longer.
PLEASE don't get rid of shaft. Just Develope it more.

You could get rid of the carbon brace and still have aluminum halfs for the layshaft/diff. I think you could go even farther by making one side of each diff/layshaft brace a hook style. That way you can get rid of 4-more screws and make it quicker to get it out out. I know it's still in the prototype stage, but it seems too busy. I say keep it simple. Finally someone makes a two piece diff bulk head on a belted car. I still love that prototype with many Pro 3 parts on it. With batteries getting bigger having three by three cells seems logical. I still love that Pro 2.

Looks to me as that you can put the rear diff in the front without any problems. And also you can buy replacement parts from Tamiya and HPI. If you want to bitch about the bulkheads not being one piece, go somewhere else, it will be so easy to get the diffs out for maintenence. I don't know about that steering though, doesn't look to have more than one ackerman location, but they will prbably release it with 2. Looks to be a great car, can't wait to get one so I can get it all red!

Simple answer: 3D aluminum is much more expensive than 2D.

If you see the price of new EVO4MS's gearbox, you know what I'm talking about.

I think it will replace the PRO 4 it has been out for a while now, and i dont think Hara will use it if its not a part of HPI.

That's not really true, TRF stands for Tamiya Racing Factory, and is A sort of the same thing as "Factory Team" by AE.
It's just A unit of the company for racing parts.
Hot Bodies is different, they make "normal" street cars, and they make aftermarket parts for not only HPI, but also for other companies.

The Pro4 isn't that old yet, so it wouldn't suprise me if Hot Bodies is going to make this car and HPI will stick with the Pro 4 for A while.
You maybe think the new car will put the Pro 4 in its shadow, but take A look at Tamiya, they have the 415 and the evo 4.
Both are very different, but Tamiya sells both very well.
So why can't the HPI/Hot Bodies group have both, since Hot Bodies and HPI are owned by the same man, it wouldn't be A bad move.

They have found A new motto, the old motto was combining the advantages of A stafty with A belt driven chassis (or vice versa).
The new one; just make 2 chassis with both A different drivetrain!
