My fiance asked me what I wanted for my Birthday. I told her I wanted a Novak GTB and that they're roughly the same price everywhere. She went online to Stormer to buy the Novak, read their homepage and bought me the Black Cyclone instead. She may not know much about RC but she knows a bargain when she sees one.
The car looks solid and from what I've read so far I only need to upgrade the bumper, diff screws, ball studs, and bones and pick up some extra steering blocks and I should be set. Can't wait to get it to the track.

You won't be disappointed! I wondered why I did not buy the car earlier. Now I am thinking to keep the WCE order from tower or just to get another black version cyclone.

what is the purpose of leaving in those bearing crush spacers?

other than adding foams, and the obvious oil/spring changes, is there anything this car needs to run on carpet? There are other cars that need shock tower changes, some kind of chassis change etc to run well on carpet, so thats why I am asking.

Stormer Hobbies has these onsale for 199 and I am thinking of getting one.

Square website:
http://translate.google.com/translat...005-08,DVXA:en

Part numbers are:
Square SHP-11AX Titanium ball studs (4pcs/Replacement for 75115)
Square SHP-11BX Titanium ball studs (4pcs/Replacement for 75116)

I bought mine from Champ RC
http://rc-champ.co.jp/

As for the diff screw... there are only 2 types, the standard one (73522), and the titanium nitrided one (61089). "BOTH" can and will snap if the diff is not built correctly.

Hope this helps,
Peter

Wise investments might be,
1) BMI chassis around $145
2) Corally/Xray springs for carpet
3) 6* C-hubs
4) Ae Diff screw or a tit. one if you luck
5) Front Diff and a locked center pully along with shaft.

About all you need...

Yep, I've been using the 3Racing titanium ball studs on the steering knuckles and servo saver for a few meetings now and had no problems, seems to be a pretty good quality.

For the short ball studs I use Schumacher ones, I've found that these have been very strong.
