If you need a setup for foam then try Diasuke Yoshioka for the "Summer Nats"... 7th from the top

Its very good in modified.

Guys,

I've just got myself a cyclone after having raced a TC3 for 2 years. I'm struggling to get it set up just now (foam on carpet) as the front end seems to just dig in at the corners and push and push and push. It's so slow and unresponsive! I've got a bit of work to do!

I've got a reasonable idea of what different set up changes do, EXCEPT that I've never played with roll centres. What do spacers under the pivot blocks and inner suspension links do on the cyclone?

Thanks,
Jason

Hi,
I got a Cyclone S and thought I might post here for some help as no-one in the 'Cyclone S' thread could help me.

I brought a front spool for my cyclone S (part no. 61045) and tried to install in today, but it seems the dogbones dont fit inside the hubs.
Do you need to run uni's to use a spool?
If so, can someone give me the part no. for them.
Thanks.

Is it the new spool?

If so then i believe you have to use ver.2 driveshafts...i think the CS comes with ver.1 shafts like the original black cyclone.

I think I have the ver. 1 spool, cos on he Hot Bodies website it says that Part No. 61403 uni's are ver.2 and have larger end balls.
On the site I can't see and ver.1 uni's, so where can I find these?
Does Part No. 61088 MIP CVD's have a small end ball?

Thanks Marcos,

Any idea why you shouldn't run any shims under the pivot blocks?

Raising the roll centres makes the tires work harder to generate more grip. Instead of the chassis allowing itself to roll deeper into the corner, the chassis effectively "stands" on the suspension to generate grip..

You only raise the block up on low traction surfaces where you're looking for grip. On a high traction surface like carpet, keep the blocks low..
