version 2 is thinner IIRC. I use version 1 for Sorex, version 2 for CS/RP/Vtec.

Just wondering if anyone is running the BMI chassis and what their impressions are. Looking to get away from the "X".

There are lots of guys running the BMI chassis for foam carpet. It stiffens up the chassis a great deal and I believe it is a big improvement over the stock chassis.

Jason

To say the BMI conversion improves the car on carpet (any tire) is an understatement. The car completely and instantly changes into an ultra competitive ride. The conversion allows the suspension to do the work it was meant to do - and in addition, the car is balanced 50/50 F/R and L/R if you use a low profile servo.

I have not run the car on asphalt up to this point, but I think the benefits would be identical.

Thanks for the input. A fella I race with has a Cyclone without the BMI and he is already wicked fast.

I took my diffs apart and sure enough the diff screw was threading into the diff half instead of sliding through. I could see a lot of wear on the diff screw up past the threads. I took a bit and drilled the diff half (nut side) out so the diff screw would pass through easily. After that I got alot better diff action. If you are having problems breaking diff screws or the diffs are acting weird check this out.
