hi guys, just been looking at the car and have noticed that most people put the cf piece as aposed to the alloy piece on the motor side of the spur gear... would building the spur asembly with the cf piece on the cells side of the chassis cause any problems? it seems unlikely but im just checking before i race it like this...
cheers

Does this mean you are going to produce a BMI for the cyclone?

If so what will it be designed for? Carpet?

Ie. 3mm chassis, stand offs on the topdeck etc....really stiff?

If you are going to be running on foam tires on the carpet then the BMI Chassis is the one to have. I have never tried it with rubber tires though.

Ok, well foam carpet racing over in the UK seems like a thing of the past. Less and less of it by the looks of things.

The club i run at (well indoor carpet club) we run vtec 24r's (nosram/LRP)...your lot probably never heard of them. I haven't seen then for sale in the US anyway, on medium to high bite carpet.

Ok cyclone guys.......I bought a used Cyclone and ran it for the first time yesterday. I loved the car and the setup was close. I run on a HIGH bite indoor asphalt track. The car is really good with off power turn in. I am losing it in the center of the turn and a little push comming off. Also, comming off the straight into the sweeper on power the car pushes too much. I tried moving the rear shocks out on the tower figuring it would free the car up. I was wrong. Any ideas???????? I am running a center and a front oneway.

I run pre-mount rp 30s. I tried CS32s but it was too loose.

the kit works well with rubber tire carpet also.you just dont need to use the side standoffs.i had a guy test it out with rubber carpet and he said it worked extremely well and was easier to tune than the stock chassis

How would your carpet chassis with the stock top plate work out for rubber carpet

Jamie,

If you running up at Fredrick, I'm assuming your using a one-way. Have you tried a simple spring/droop change? Also, you can use alittle more toe to get steering out of the corners. You also might want to try changing the ackerman. If the car is still out to lunch, you might wanna get ahold of Brian Riegal. He had the car for a while and had it dialed at the "C".
