Hey guys, whats the largest 64 pitch spur gear you can run on a cyclone? Im running a Novak 4.5 and cant even get close to a gear mesh with the stock 100t Spur. The Motor wont go back any further. Im looking for a FDR of around 9.6-9-8 or rollout of 20.5

Cheers

what's the smallest pinion you can fit with a 108 spur?

and how do people gear it to run a 3.5R with 6 cell? (i think you need 10.0:1 or higher?)

and does those Red T's come with the girl in the photo?

Biggest 64p spur that can fit without modification is a 108. Easily.

If you have the metal motor bracing plate (heatsink plate) then a 110 will fit. If you are running the carbon plate, then a slight gringing will let you runa 110 no worries.

It's big but it DOESN'T stick out of the bottom...

NO - it does not ruin the spur. I've run my car with a 110 now for long enough. The only damage sustained was from rocks getting stuck in my pinion.

(Caveat - I suppose if you really hit a curb and slid along it you MIGHT be able to nip the tops off that spur. But so far no problems. )

Marcos.J - Your sway bar links are on upside down. The ball cup is supposed to go on the A-arm. With the enclosed end on the sway bar, you can move the link forward and back for tuning.

Snowy.

Yellow S15 - don't have my pinions handy atm.. but I'm guessing around a 110, 24-25?

That said - some slight grinding on the motor mounting holes on the motor-mount will allow you to move the motor closer to the spur.

I haven't done it myself, but it shouldn't be too hard..
Just a quick dremel job..
