Hey guys, im getting ready to pick up a cyclone from a buddy of mine. Is there anything else I should get ( parts, upgrades, etc........ ). What are some of the most common pieces I should get for the car ( dogbones, belts, etc..... ). The car wil be mainly used for modified and 19T. Thanks

Yo, Roger
I can help you with the setup, i have one for all the tracks here in the YAY area. Just let me know or PM me when you need them. Which kit do you have, the regular or the Hara/Surikarn one?
Apart from the parts that you'd want to replace over the long term due to wear (belts, etc,) the only parts that break/bend are dogbones and uprights. The arms/castor blocks i find are rock solid.

I have the regular one, but I have a question. Whats the going price for a used regular cyclone ? Just curious. Thanks Mark

Hey everyone i have decided to make a change from my xray fk05 to a HPI/HB cyclone but i was wondering should i get the surikarn/hara edition i am racing on apshalt if that helps what one performs better or more reliable.

I will be getting the edition in october ish will there be any other "newer" cyclone comign out?

Also if you are running a brushless could you tell me what system your running as im going brushless aswell

The two versions are basically the same side from the colour.
Both are a worthwhile buy over the stock Cyclone..(Guess who bought a stock..)
Also - the Hara is easy to get parts for, however the stock cyclone is harder to get parts. At least in Australia..

Don't know if there's a newer one planned.

I've been running the Novak GTB with no probs. First the 5.5R and then the 4.5R. Be aware you may need to slight chassis grinding to get a large enough spur to fit if you're using the 4.5

I'm told the heatsink motor mount eliminates this problem, but the stock CF one is JUST too big. A few seconds with a file or a dremel will sort it out.

(The Novak BL uses very very low ratio's.. so be prepared!)

There are no newer editions announced yet, but it would be a good guess that HB has something in the works seeing how Andy Moore won the Worlds with the Cyclone. Also something to note is that the Surikarn/Hara are limited editions, they will not be sold after they are gone
