I am thinking about ordering another kit, and would prefer the regular black cyclone again over the purple hara (without having to spend $100 on parts to get it to the same specs...)
i did actually, and i'm going to replace the front buckhead (bended)... there are alot of differences between Hara spec and the normal version... but the buckheads are the same, i just noticed... maybe you could check on the "Hara edition" parts list to compare the differences..

sorry, I should of been more specific. i bought the original cyclone when it was first released, and i now have a hara cyclone, what I am trying to find out is whether the regular cyclone kits (purchased recently, ie. since the new parts have been released) have been updated...

I'm pretty sure that things like the thin pulleys will not be on the original Cyclone. However you have a good point about things like strengthened bulkheads, ver2 driveshafts, carved out pivot block, slightly different chassis, lip on spur gear plate etc. All these things were sorted for the Hara/Surikarn editions but may not have been for the original black Cyclone.

With the new Cyclone S out will/has this brought down the price of the regular or Hara edition anywhere?

in stock form, might be a little flexy to be a carpet racer...
I could see the stock 'S' chassis being using on the std. or H. or S. kits.

I think he meant it would be a good donor car for a BMI kit

Hey Ramon,
do you think the 'S' chassis will work on carpet?

The 'S' chassis on a regular/Hara/Surikarn kit?
it might if the upperdeck was made stiffer. like the BMI upperdeck.

I think it will make a great asphalt chassis.

Why do you think that it will make a great asphalt chassis?

I think it will be better suited as a wet setup, what do other people think. Is there a price out yet for the main chassis deck and do you need anything else to put it straight on a hara/surikarn edition?????
