I take it your running foams?

Hara ran Xray springs on his foam car at last years IIC in vegas.

http://www.peakmotors.com/peak/image..._hara_foam.jpg

Theres a link to a picture of his car,Xray purpules on the front and a hpi spring on the rear.

Hope that helps!

is the pic Hara's car? looks like a Keyence speedo in there.
Batterys do look dailed!!

Its Haras car allrite, bottom left of his TD design pit board it has his name.

Maybe the keyence was a last ditch attempt to get rid of his interfearnce?

hi every one

ive noticed that my v2 shock shafts are doing funny things, when i push the shock rod in it extends smoothly then almost stops for ever such a slight instant then pops out, i think tyhe third groove in the shaft is causing this, i dont think it will be a problem in the car because the shocks wont fully extend, does anyone else have this problem?

You need to add a 2mm shim/spacer in the shock (as per Hara's setup tips) to take out the additional length.

Hope this helps.

wow it sure looks like he's living it up with futaba!
i wonder if he misses the days of simplicity with ko rx and twister speedo.
now it seems like he's having major problems. even has a keyence speedo in there? and thats a lot of foil!!

interesting that there is no MM diode with the keyence speedo.

Instead of using shims, I threaded a plain (non-nylon) 3mm nut onto the shock shaft before threading the shock end on and it worked as a perfect spacer. (As a bonus, I was able to tighten the shock end to the nut and it automatically made all of my shocks the same length!)
Here are a couple of pics of my car with the completed mod:
wow, after looking closer at my shock ends, they have developed a LOT of slop very quickly i think its from taking them on & off

I think im going to use the tamiya balls at the top, for quick shock changing, and go back to hpi screw/ball for the bottom because of slop.

I forgot to mention...there is a HD version of the shock end that a buddy of mine used. I'm not sure what the part # is, though. That should solve your problem.

I wouldnt get a whole spring set if i was you.I used to own a Xray before i moved to HotBodies. The spring set is very dear and it dosenT come with all the springs, theres loads of diffrent sping set.

I personally purchased the springs speratly when i owned a xray as it was cheaper and i got what i wanted.

Just a word of advice

Did you notice that Hara switch to another speedo?
I think the new one is from Keyence.

Someone know more?
