Default HELP!!! Center Pulley Prblm

Just built my Cyclone a few days ago. The time came to test it and I used a box to give it throttle and all all 4 tires off the ground. After hitting the throttle, I noticed that only the front tires spin forward, while the rear ones dont move at all. The belt and pulley for the rear tires just dont move. Checked for freedom of movement and its fine- its smooth. Took the spur gear, and manually moved that forward, and only 2 front tires spin forward. THen I took the rear tire and manually moved that forward, and then all 4 tires move forward! What the hell is going on here

your center one-way and direct pulley are installed incorrectly..swap them to opposite sides and all should be well.

first off
one way pulley on front belt !!
one way pulley rotating in the right direction
when spin up front wheels will carry on spinning when the rears stop when motor stops ,when you come of throttle

if you don`t know about one ways ,learn about them before you build

Default THanks Rc Zombie

Page 12 of my manual has the center shaft pulley with the one way bearing on the other side. I belive its a mistake on their manual. Just inverted it as RC ZOmbie recommended and now I got 4WD again!!! Thank you guys...also, this kit comes with a plastic rear diff outdrives...It will not stand up to the heat of my Novak 4.5R brushless system. Can I use the Pro 4 delrin outdrives on the cyclone, or is there aluminum outdrives for the cyclone? What's the best place to get parts for the Cyclone?

Default Cyclone Outdrives

Will my PRO 4 delrin outdrives work with the Cyclone? Does the cyclone have delrin outdrives or aluminum? What's the best place to get parts for the Cyclone, as Hotbodiesonline has nothing there...thanks.

the stock diff outdrives are delrin like the Pro4..just in Black.
Aluminum outdrives are availalbe...they are stock parts on the Hara or Surikarn edition kits...and now available seperately..
speedtech has them listed..but out of stock at the moment.
you'll have to go overseas to get them..

and best place for parts... Speedtech or Stormer.

Hi Guys,

Is there any disadvantage in running a large diode like the Much More 55amp diode over the 35 amp version?

Thanks.

very little advantage...
if you're running low turn mods..the 55amp is recommended
for the stock, 19T the 35amp is all you need..

hey guys,

i finished my new cyclone hinge pin blocks today that allow me to run the wheelbase as long as about 264mm and the track width at 189.25mm with TRC wraps.this is also with 1.5 degrees of rear toe and 0 front arm sweep.i will be testing it out on carpet very soon.i am just waiting until i can make the 3 hour venture up to the track.i also have a local carpet race here on august 5th.i am very pleased with this carpet conversion so far.in theory it should be an animal.lets see if reality agrees.

Jason, will these blocks be part of the chassis kit or an option ?
Thanks.

they are going to come with the kit but also be an option part being that they will work on the stock chassis for widening the track width.

Jason,

Is the carpet car suited for foams or will it be suitable for rubbers on the rug too?
