Setup
Front
shocks, 35wt oil, pro4 2005 spec shock piston (3 hole piston), gold spring
0.5mm spacers under pivot blocks, 0 degree toe block, 0.5 degree total toe out.
4 degree castor
5mm ride height
standard shock position on lower arm, second hole from bottom on shock tower.(for shock mounting position)
3mm spacer under inner camber link in standard position.
Ackermann, all standard
6mm droop
standard wheelbase
2005 spec wheel hexes (narrower)
Rear
shocks, 35wt oil, pro4 2005 spec shock piston (3 hole piston), silver spring
1mm spacers under pivot blocks, 2 degree toe block, 3 degrees total toe in with alloy "inbuilt 1 degree toe in" hubs.
5.5mm ride height
3rd hole from bottom on shock tower, standard position on lower arm (shock mounting positions)
5mm droop
2mm spacer under inner camberlink, standard position
standard wheelbase
2005 spec wheel hexes (narrower)
This setup was reccommended to me by HPI.
I tried it with brand new tyres and it still understeered. I put a 2.5 degree toe block on the front along with silver springs on the front shocks and my laptimes changed less than a 1/10 of a second and it still understeer.
Any suggestions? I think it may be to do with something else with car. How are other people setting the built in servo saver? I tightened mine up some more past the instruction manuals settings and have installed a 2005 Spec pro4 diff to see if that helps.

A couple of things I can sugest looking at your set up.
In the front put back the 2.5* toe block on.
In the rear run more droop to help the car shift more weight to the front, in breaking and neutral troghtle situations.
Start with that and see what happens.
Im actually running this set up.
Hara standard set up.
I just make small changes depending on the track.

i would try thicker front oil to slow the weight transfer to the rear.i would run the standard hexes also.i am running 1.5mm shims under all of my hinge pin blocks.i run the 2.5 front block and the 3.0 rear.i am running the same shims on the camber links.my front shocks on the tower are all the way layed down with the standard arm hole position.stock ackerman shims.i am running 4.5mm ride height in front and 5mm in rear.6mm droop front and rear.standard wheelbase.try also using tire tweak on your tires.apply for about 20 minutes.then clean tires off completely with buggy grip right before you run.my car is extremely aggressive and i need to stay smoothe or it will oversteer.i always like my cars this way.even my spool car that i run in mod is this way.i just love steering.1 more thing you can try is running antisquat in the rear.that will give you more entry steering.i havent needed this but it will give more steering.as for the servo saver,i lock it up as tight as possible.i like to see how far servos can go.

New One
Just finishing up the build of my standard cyclone. In the box was a package of 4 rectangular shims,At least They look likeshims.2 purple,2 silver. There is nothing in the instructions about them.Anybody have any ideas what they're for?The purple ones are about 2mm thick, the silver about 1mm thick.Thanks,Mario.
