You want one of these:

http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_...ets-Cyclone-TC

They fit perfectly, and if you purchase a battery with the bottom-end bumps, it should slot into the insert perfectly, which locks the battery in so it can't move. I use one of these on one of my TC's with Checkpoint 3800s, and it works great! They're a bit pricey, but you get exactly what you pay for...

Default Race

Hi

I will be attending a carpet race next week and I will be participating with my cyclone tc. I have an SXX with x12 13.5 engine and speedo and I am thinking at a configuration.
I have attached the track layout , it seems like a high speed track.
For the gear ratio I'm thinking of around 4 .
For the setup , what do you recommend ? Since there are more high speed left turns should the configuration be different on the left/right car side?

I have a question... Is it always hard to find hard hardware for the cyclone TC? Im trying to stock up a spare parts box and good lord. Half the stuff is out of stock. I got lucky here and there by looking on amazon and ebay (after hitting the LHS, the hpi site, amain, tower, yadda yadda yadda). The last part I am looking for is the .75mm purple washers (z814). Tower says it should have them in late June... But after seeing stuff out of stock on the major online shops for the last month now, Im kinda skeptical. Has it always been like this or does anyone think it is due to HB putting together TCX kits?

adjust the bearing holders - the hex-ish shaped thing that the bearing sits in, don't know off the top of my head which way will make it get tighter, but you can play with it to see the looseness go away

Questions?? Help

Hi all

Im running this setup & i'm chasing a bit more corner speed & corner exit steering .

http://www.hotbodiesonline.com/pdfs/...ning_Setup.pdf

Only changes i have made is 5.5mm RH front & 6mm RH rear / 4.5mm downstop all round & rear shock moved up 1 hole on top .

Running Sorex 28's & Exotek lipo chassis .

Track is low grip .

Should i change my front droop / rear swaybar / rear springs / oil ?

Any help wouls be great .

Thanks

a small quick change u could make is lowering ur ride height. with the exotec chassis u can run much lower ride heights. for starters try 5.0mm front 5.5 rear. even lower if ur track is not to bumpy.
at my local track i run 4.8mm front 5.2mm rear and have awesome corner speed compared to running 5.5 and 6 which i used to run with the original chassis.

Hi

The problem i have is the chassis already scraps near the down stop screw on the rear ( track is bumpy )

What down stop do you run with that ride hight ?

I think i need to go up a spring in the rear ( run silver frt & rear ) or maybe run silver swaybars frt & rear , maybe lift rear shock up a hole on top .

Any thoughts

Thanks
