His will also be 2.4 if it's the black version unless the pulley's were changed. FDR will all depend on the speedo used. I'm sure someone with MM experience will be along to help him out.

I've been using a battery tray weight. I'm going to ditch it. How much weight should I add and what's the front/rear bias?

Thanks, Rob.........

the TC did get the lower internal ratio (18t pulleys) - but none of the 'earlier' cyclones came stock with 18t pulleys, they all have 16t ones

as far as a gearing issue - if you are running an 'advanced timing/turbo/boost' like speedo, you really don't need a super low FDR...A gearing start-point might be something to seriously ask in the MMM thread - in there you get guys running that speedo in everything, and you'd probably get a few more experts on the speedo as well

here, you get some MMM knowledge - but lots of cyclone knowledge

here's a 'for instance' in my cyclone (w/18t pulleys), i would gear the car for a 4.0-ish FDR with my tekin speedo (yes, i know its NOT a MMM), when tekin released v203 with all those extra timing features, i ended up gearing my car high (FDR around 5.5-6) and still had the speedo...so that might be something to consider when i said you may not need to get for a crazy-low FDR

That's a good call on the MM thread.

Curious. What are the tracks you drive on like? Are you using a battery tray weight?

mostly med-to-large parking lot tracks...we do have a real sweet setup in Jackson, NJ (http://www.jacksonrcracing.com/) - nice permanent facility with CURBS

on my 'standard' cyclone i AM running a lipo battery tray - mainly because i never really ran a 5000mah pack

on my cyclone TC, i am using an exotek chassis with the weighted battery retainers

quick question, how are you managing to get a 88T spur on? I tried putting on a 84T and it bound up on the chassis.

We're also on parking lots for the most part here. I'm fortunate enough to Mike from Exotek as a local racer. I may need to pick up one of his chassis.

May just need to test with weight until then.

Thanks, Rob.......

Where are you binding? Are you using 64pitch?

Way too many varibles to just throw out a gear ratio for a 13.5. Include some info and someone will probably be able to help you out.

What 13.5?
What motor timing?
What ESC?
What ESC settings?

All these will affect optimum gearing significantly.
