I had a chance to watch Hara's new car run during the TITC race, I have to say it was very impressive. It was very stable, yet with very sharp steering. It carried so much speed thru the corners. I have to say the new car is a class above the others. The car's action was not the same as any other cars, including the current cyclone. I can't wait to get one.

You can see some pictures on page 1240. Everything except for the suspensions are new. The top deck looks like a 1 piece, but it is actually a 2 piece design. This is what I remembered about the new car:

The bulkheads are narrower, so all other related parts will be new, including the diff, spool, shock towers, driveshafts, chassis etc..

The motor mount is mounted on the center line of the chassis to keep the flex symetrical.

The flex at the front and middle parts of the car is about the same as Cyclone TC, but more flex at the rear end.

You can have the option to use either the Tamiya style steering of the original single post style steering. Also, the steering posts can be mounted at either forward or backward positions.

It is a beautifully designed car.

Are you kidding?

There are some major updates :
- the belts have been repositioned
- the pulleys are HUGE
- the topdeck is quite symmetrical
- LiPO support with something we can suppose to be post for some weight bar...
- And the motor mount is not fixed directly to the chassis, there is a central post, to have a more symmetrical tweak

Even this is only a prototype, it could be a very interesting car!

Where the fan is placed on Hara's car.. it looks like it was blowing air onto the motor front the back of the car to the front.. I thought the fan sucking air from the front to the rear would be better as the natural air flow would also help..

Is this what others also do??

I have the same fan.. so unless he has his one going in reverse then thats the way its setup..
