How long did Andy have his Sanwa before the DHI? You think he had enough time to test the new radio and perhaps the new prototype parts?

I Don't think the time he had the radio could have been the reason as his 2006 worlds win was done with a fresh new prototype radio. Maybe parts on the car or wront setup... but still every rounds ? Only 16 laps is clearyly not enough compared to 20 in the mains-A. Also he didn't finished #2 and #3 !!

He told he just recently got it, and that it was his first race with it. And that he likes the Sanwa a lot.

Ouch. Top 3 were Yokomo, AE and Tamiya.

Yes, correct, this is the Exotek HBX.

Big congrats goes out to Mr Stocker for the win! Is it true the 2nd place ran the HBX as well? Congrats also to Crister Anderson for TQ'ing and coming 2nd overall in open class running the Exotek chassis

I've tested the 3d style cutout seen in Andy Moore's chassis. It looks nice but it creates irregularities in the tweak of the chassis because the weaves of the carbon fiber creates tensions that when cut only partially, as shown, can tweak or worse bow the chassis. I wonder if Andy experienced that problem over the weekend?

A picture with your post, when trouble shooting, will probably get more rctech help than without...

HI, can you explain what you mean by 3d style cut out? are you saying that a cut top-deck can make the chassis tweak?

cheers

Hey guys,

I'm pretty sure thats a weight plate with a Carbon Fiber decal on it. If it were truly a "3D cut chassis", where it is cut most likely wouldn't have the carbon fiber weave visible. Think about just under the motor. It just looks like a solid shade of grey rather than the actual carbon fiber weave.

As others have said, having a massive pocket in the chassis makes the chassis tweak extremely easy. Plus it makes the overall flexing characteristics very odd. Hopefully that didn't confuse anyone too much

Hi Korey, you might want to tell HB about that, so they won't go ahead to produce it.

It might also be a 3D cut, with a thin weight plate.
