Guys, not trying to start a rumour or anything but is there a new version of the Cyclone coming any time soon from Hot Bodies? I had heard that some of the UK drivers were testing some new parts but that was all.

As I've said in many PM's and posts before... As far as I know, there aren't any concrete plans to release a whole new car soon. We're always testing parts though and seeing how they effect the car. Its just hard to improve on one of the best designs in the industry.

So then you are saying we should expect evolution and not a revolution of the design.

No worries. Like I said, we're always trying things. It's just been hard to find anything that is something everyone on the team likes. The way the car is now, works for a very large spectrum of driving styles. We just want to make sure you guys get the best car possible, so there will always be lots and lots of testing and development.

Default Tire Balancing

Hi Guys,

(1) I'm starting to run out of unanswered questions.
But I just thought of another

(2) Has anyone used the "Hudy Universal Tire Balancing Station" (and the associated "Hudy Wheel Balancer Adapter For 1/10th Touring Cars") ??

(3) I have seen guys using it and the wheel has less vibration.
However, I'm not sure if "perfectly balanced wheels" has any advantage in practice.

Thanks in advance

Guys,

Does anyone have a picture of a self made diff cover? I've read that it's not all that hard to make one out of vinyl or lexan.

I haven't personally used one but I read a post in which Paul Lemieux wrote about it. He basically said that he didn't see a point on using it because every time he balanced the tires and ran on them, they went out of balance in a short time and sometimes even worse than the state they were in before balancing.

If I'm at a big race, I take all my handout tires, and weigh them, then match them in sets. In very extreme cases, the cars act really funny when giving throttle inputs if they have way different weights on each corner.
