For the 5.8 ratio your looking for you need a 98/41 or a 96/40. Just check your motor temps after a couple min's.

You can go to www.gearchart.com and create a gearchart.
Did you go to 4.5 with the 16T or with the 18T???? So, I can go down to 5.8 with 16T and be safe?

Thats too safe, you should gear to around 5.0 w/ 16T center pulley, it still safe!

I ran 4.5 with the Duo and TC, I have not run my SPX in my sedan yet as it's currently in my WGT. But most have gone up to 5.1-5.2 when running the higher profiles on the SPX.

I use the 18t pulleys on my car. But you can still run the 16t pulleys and be fine, you will just have to run smaller spurs to get the same overall ratio's. I was running a 102/47 last time I think. With the 16t pulleys to get down to a 4.5 you would have to run a 88t or 90t spur. Ya a 5.8 ratio should be fine.

Just for info.

Currently I have WCE edition with 16T pulleys in center, for carpet races i use FDR around 4.6-4.9 and my novak GTB combo with 13.5T runs fine(don't have any coolers - using 96-97 for spur, 47-51 for pinion), for summer we have quit fast track with few chicanes and few 180 turns, but overall quite high speed track - and majority of us gear around 4.4 and all is fine as long your motor in the end isn't too hot.

Ahh, yes, our so called Stock is 13.5 with 5 cells.

I drive with the Hara edition and standar pulley. I have a GM genius 95 speedo and one 13.5 team ptit'yo in LIPO 7.4V IP! This is the best for fiability.

To have more adhesion on a track or a parcking it asphalt you put a slice of 1mm on the hold before of the rear train and kept silent is going to smell that it sticks really better! Especially there virrages

sorry im french! you play with the droop it's more important!

on asphalt you take 5 on droop
on carpet you take 6 on droop
use only Hara spring in carpet and Hara front and Surikarn rear in asphalt
This setup is the good basic in France
